Value Added: Artists’ Perspectives on the Meaning of Worth

On view  March 20 – April 18

Value Added: Artists’ Perspectives on the Meaning of Worth is an exhibition of multimedia artworks and installations that explore concepts of worth and valuation. The exhibition examines differing values that exist within contemporary society—monetary systems, precious materials, proprietary rights, and status symbols—as well as the transformation of mere signs of worth into metaphors that reference the personal, the political, and the poetic. Artists in the exhibition include Melissa Brown, Katie Creyts, Pete Driessen, David Hammons, Heather Hart, Christian Jankowski, Caitlin Karolczak, Christina Kelly, Richard Knox, Michael Landy, Mark Lombardi, Eric Lunde, Esperanza Mayobre, Tim Portlock, Martha Rosler, Yumi Janairo Roth, Sebastiao Salgado, Peter Simensky, Nari Ward, and Caroline Woolard.
