Celebrate the BFA Seniors’ exhibition, Pink Moon. It contains works in photography, projection, drawing, painting, installation, sound, videography, and sculpture. Pink Moon represents renewal, growth, and new beginnings in the directions we are pulled towards throughout our lives. Featuring Artists: Anthony Argondizzo, Abigail Buckley, Cate Curran, Jasmine Delgado, Olivia D’Iorio, Amanda Harding, Nathaniel Johnson, Joy Park, and Sarah Romano.

Anthony Argondizzo

In Anatomize, Anthony Argondizzo deconstructs and reimagines the concept of the painted image, transforming its components to develop a pseudo-reality that frees painting from traditional, two-dimensional restrictions. Digital reference images are recontextualized into new narratives, sculptures blur the boundaries of reality and representation, and pigment-coated objects serve as physical extensions of the brush strokes, creating a complex, discursive, and abstracted space.

Abigail Buckley

Abigail Buckley’s work brings to life an underwater scene through drawing and color. With the addition of projection and audio, she adds the haunting and intriguing sounds and imagery of the deep sea.

Cate Curran

Cate Curran’s work visualizes the comfort of different relationships within her life through the language of color and portraiture in her paintings. The living room couch is a place of contentment and warmth which connects the experiences of each bond in different ways, while guiding the viewer to a comfortable place within their self-reflection.

Jasmine Delgado

Jasmine Delgado’s work is a sculptural experience catered toward viewer interaction and vulnerability. The myriad of instrumental music, sewn fabric, and protruding limbs from this exoskeleton cave all combine to empower the connection between art and the viewer’s mind, body, and spirit.

Olivia D’Iorio

Olivia’s work displays portraiture through different mediums, including traditional printing, cyanotypes, and transparencies. She explores how photographs can be perceived differently through various media.

Amanda Harding

Amanda Harding’s work balances realism and expressionism to portray how she perceives the people closest to her. Through the use of color and texture in her paintings, she captures the emotional experience of reconnecting with your inner child when in the presence of someone who makes you feel safe.

Nathaniel Johnson

The Internet’s ubiquitous reach is tangible in every corner of the world. The problem is, once something is online, it can never truly be erased, haunting our digital footprints indefinitely. Have we developed a methodology to eliminate missed moments, or have we trapped ourselves into indefinite surveillance? Have we accidentally created our own extinction in hopes to relive our lives in the virtual domain? Nate Johnson’s works, confined in monitors, showcases how living in a digital realm is not an if, but a when. These wired prisons trap Johnson’s work into electronic boxes, displaying not only our present relationship with technology, but our dreadful future.

Joy Park

Joy Park’s work reveals the reality and different forms of relationships through the use of colored strings and the layering of images. Each color and layer used has a specific purpose, telling its story and making connections.

Sarah Romano

Sarah Romano’s work uncovers themes of climate change. She uses animals to portray powerful messages on how the government impacts our environment, but how there is still hope. Through drawing, installation, and sculpture, her work represents these different issues by creating a captivating environment that the viewer can immerse themselves in.
