Cate Curran: Connections in Color: A Journey Through Self

CATE CURRAN is a New Jersey-based fine artist whose work reflects visual interpretations of her relationships with those around her. Whether with her family, environment, or herself, these relationships aid in her self-discovery as an individual and artist. Primarily through the genre of self-portraiture, she encapsulates the outward and internal emotions these relationships possess. Color, subtle symbolism, and vulnerability all play a role in how her pieces communicate an openness to interpretation for the viewer. As the very nature of these relationships evolves, so does how these relationships are interpreted through her artwork.

Jasmine Delgado: Sun-kissed Skin by God

JASMINE DELGADO is a multimedia artist based in the New Jersey/New York area. Her work revolves around asking questions and viewing subjects from varied perspectives. Her artistic practice is fluid and thrives on the exploration of various media to best convey the intended message. Concepts involving gender, sexuality, aging, and abstraction serve as a foundation for many works. A key element of Delgado’s work is sustainability. Where one might see trash, Jasmine explores an opportunity to find its beauty. After all, giving back to nature and preserving what is left for generations to follow is a responsibility we all share. For Delgado, art transcends language and serves as a powerful yet gentle form of communication. Through this storytelling, she aims to connect with viewers and make space for parts of identity that lie beneath the surface.

Olivia D’Iorio: Luminescence

OLIVIA D’IORIO is a photographer based in the New Jersey/New York/Pennsylvania area. Her photography is primarily portraiture and focuses on how those subjects can create a strong connection through the photograph to the viewer. Her images force the audience to have an immediate relationship with the subject, largely due to the subject’s confident gaze throughout her portraits. The women in her photos are the physical embodiment of nature and symbolize how nature holds both strength and serenity, reflecting the idea of beauty and the connection to the world around them. Olivia D’Iorio emphasizes the technicality of photography, evidently paying close attention to lighting and composition throughout the photo, but more importantly, how the light is illuminating the subject. These technical aspects of photography are what create the visually pleasing and eye-catching pieces that D’Iorio’s photography makes. By highlighting the subject’s strong presence in a clean and structured way while allowing the viewer to form a personal connection with the subject themselves.

Amanda Harding: Make Yourself at Home

AMANDA HARDING is a multidisciplinary artist based in New Jersey, whose work is deeply rooted in her personal experiences, exploring themes of self-identity, childhood, relationships, and the idea of home. Incorporating a diverse range of mediums such as painting, photography, video, installation, and projection, Amanda seeks to create opportunities for viewers to connect with her work on a personal level, inviting them to experience it as if it were their own. Her work features a variety of colors, textures, and shapes, creating a visually captivating experience that captures the essence of human emotions, personalities, and family.
