A Collaborative Language: Selections From The Experimental Printmaking Institute
November 13 – December 9, 2019
Opening Reception: Wednesday, November 13, 5:00pm

The College of New Jersey Art Gallery is pleased to present A Collaborative Language: Selections From The Experimental Printmaking Institute, an exhibition organized by The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA), to celebrate the Experimental Printmaking Institute (EPI) at Lafayette College and its 20-year history as one of the nation’s leading centers for fine-arts printmaking.

A Collaborative Language at the TCNJ Art Gallery will feature 23 prints by such noted artists as Alison Saar, Sam Gilliam, Kay WalkingStick, David Driskell, Martha Jackson Jarvis, Willie Cole, Audrey Flack, Barbara Bullock, Melvin Edwards, and William T. Williams, illuminating how EPI has worked with artists to explore the infinite possibilities of paper. A unique laboratory for contemporary printmaking, the EPI enables Lafayette College students to work hand in hand with professional artists to produce print editions. The results of these collaborations have been included in museum collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as within the permanent collections of various colleges and universities.
