Student Exhibitions: Carly Englander & Cara Giddens

October 31st – November 9th
Exhibition Opening Reception: Wednesday 10/31 5:00-7:00PM
AIMM Building Galleries 118 and 119

Senior BFA students announced today that Session Two of the senior solo shows will take place in the Art and Interactive Multimedia Building side gallery (AIMM 119). These two female students have been exploring their own interests and mediums throughout their years at TCNJ and are exhibiting these in a gallery setting.

CARLY ENGLANDER traces the growth of relationships through time. Examining moments from GMT to EST time zones, she uses modern technology to foster and document her connection to her partner.  She exposes her interdependence with someone who lives on the other side of the world; highlighting the human experience and emphasizing the importance of love and vulnerability. www.carlyenglander.com

CARA GIDDENS, also known online as Oenomene, is informed by her own personal experiences and the world around her. She makes visual representations of the intrusive nature of thought and memory and how it invades spaces of privacy. She uses a plethora of material available to her in order to push the boundaries of these ideas such as glue, paint, found objects, the computer, canvas, and even just regular pen and paper.
