Join us to celebrate the opening of this immersive installation by TCNJ Artist-in-Residence, Sebastienne Mundheim. Performance Environments features sculptural objects from Mundheim’s performances. About these evocative objects, Mundheim writes:
When the performance is gone, the objects and characters come to live with me. There is something very peaceful in letting the visual worlds speak silently. The objects endure. They are dirty from being handled. They are crooked from their work. And they endure. I like to sit quietly with them.
The exhibition is on view through Sunday, March 2.
Artist’s Bio
Sebastienne Mundheim is a performance-maker, installation artist, and educator with more than 30 years of experience in interdisciplinary arts and arts education. Her work integrates visual installation, puppetry, storytelling, dance, and theater. In addition to making her own work, Mundheim is a thought-partner and consultant for numerous other artists and arts organizations.
